In fact civilisations have for centuries been codifying their experiences of nature with the tools available to them. The historian Simon Schama in “Landscape and Memory” writes of landscape as follows:
“ …it goes to the heart of one of our most powerful yearnings: the craving to find in nature a consolation for our mortality. … So the mystery behind this commonplace turns out to be eloquent on the deepest relationships between natural form and human design.”
I have worked in innovative ways over a period of some years, combining digital technologies (3D and 2D) with conventional printmaking processes and photography.
